Steatite Ceramic Grinding Media and Lining is a magnesium metasilicate mixture manufactured from premium stone, clay, barium carbonate, and some other byproducts. The Steatite Ceramic Grinding Media and Lining is fused in high-temperature furnaces to create an impermeable, vitrified, resilient, non-porous, thick tough solid. Steatite ceramic is thought to be the most ideal ceramic composite for ball mill linings and grinding media due to its mechanical strength and other related characteristics.

Steatite grinding balls are used for size reduction of minerals, dyes, pigments, cement paints, printing inks and paints in ball mill grinding and attritors. Steatite ceramic is very hard, low on contamination and has anti-wear properties.
Available sizes of type BS-64 grinding balls: 3 mm, 6 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm and 70 mm.
